What’s Holly been up to??

Return to Blog Articles

Firstly, a big Happy 1st Birthday to Coco..this year has certainly gone by with a blink!!

What have I been doing this year? Well apart from wrangling two kids under two which has kept me busier than I thought, I have been ticking some important goals off on the side of running SquareOne and our team.

For the past 8 years I have been a NSW committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s (our national body) Sports Physiotherapy Group. This has involved running courses for Physios in NSW and sitting on the National committee for the past 4 years discussing issues affecting Sports Physios nationwide. In October this year I was honoured to be named National Chairperson of the Sports Physiotherapy Group. This is a two year role which assumes the role of charting the direction of the 2300 member group. My role will include advocacy issues, quality control and education standards. I am excited by this opportunity, the challenges it may bring and the skills I will learn to bring back to SquareOne.
I have also accepted the role of Head Physiotherapist for the U/21 NSW netball team. Having played representative netball at a national level myself  I am looking forward to being involved in the sport again and being part of  a successful 2015 campaign at the Australian Championships.

Within SquareOne I will be spending the next 6 months working behind the scenes to improve our services across the board to help make SquareOne a world class facility that excels in all aspects of what we do. Watch this space!!

Again thanks to the SquareOne team for enabling me to spend some time this year raising our young family.

Watch this space!! This means that I won’t be returning to treating patinets just yet but am ALWAYS available for a phone call or a chat in the clinic 🙂
