Lauren Fornasaro

Lauren graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. During her studies, she gained experience with sports coverage for many different codes including rugby union, basketball, netball and AFL and since graduating has worked in private practice as both a treating practitioner and Pilates instructor.

Lauren was originally drawn to the idea of being a physiotherapist due to her passion for sport. She loves treating musculoskeletal conditions and athletes of all levels to assist them in achieving their goals. As an ex elite rower, she has a particular interest in rowing related injuries with first-hand experience in high-performance injury prevention, management, rehabilitation and training loads.

Despite no longer competing, Lauren remains involved in the rowing community and is currently coaching school-age athletes, where she emphasises the importance of developing fundamental technical principles in order to minimise injuries and maximise performance.

In her spare time, you can find Lauren running, cycling, at the beach or spending time with friends and family.
